Dana: this note of gratitude and thanks is long overdue.
We have lived here just shy of 3 years and in that short time we have seen you stand for your neighbours to get speed limits lowered on Switch Road, seen you be a force to be reckoned with to make quarries be accountable to neighbouring homes and waterways, watched you tirelessly work on behalf of turtles and all wildlife in our precious region, as well as educate us all on what we can / should do.
Then when covid shut down schools and rural satellite internet just didn't provide adequate service you brought the issue to the forefront with our elected officials. Then you went to bat for the residents on community wells when we were threatened with losing them. I for one don't know how you, the mother of 5 , with special needs children find the passion and energy to speak for those who do not adequately speak for themselves.
The Switch Road / Davy Drive "family" are grateful to call you friend and neighbour. Thanks so much for everything you have done and continue to do for your community.

I created the FB group North Ramara needs Broadband Internet back in 2017 to bring Internet connectivity issues to light for North Ramara citizens, and Dana was an early member and contributor to the group. Over the last 5 years she has stood head and shoulders above all members with always being on top of all the latest developments from the township regarding High Speed Internet Infrastructure for all of North Ramara.
In addition to having successfully convinced the Ramara CAO and Council to include a neighbourhood cluster that had been left out of a fiber internet connection initiative, she consistently reports and updates all of us on any new or ongoing developments, either within Private industry investment or with Township initiatives, and works closely with each party to ensure factual information is presented and not sensationalized. Her work alone keeps the group alive and up to date, and frankly we are blessed to have her as such a valuable member.

Whether it's her relentless work to stop a quarry expansion beside a wetland or her steadfast commitment to species-at-risk turtle restoration under appropriate MNRF permits, Dana Tuju understands the critical role that wetland health plays in the survival of our own broader ecosystem.
I am fully confident that Dana is exactly the type of person that we need in office, leading the path to a conservation-focused future.

Founder and coordinator of the Ontario Master Naturalist Certificate Program, Lakehead University.
When I see a member of our community take a leadership role to campaign against enlarging the quarry at Rama and Switch Road, who stayed that fight for four years, I see somebody of integrity. I see a person who cares about her community and its well-being and safety.
I believe that Dana will take a stand for us in Ramara on important issues like Orillia's proposed expansion into Ramara's tax base at the Atherley Narrows and along Monck Road. I believe she will be a voice in protecting the Black River watershed when it comes to the dumpsite on concession B+C to join David Snutch.
I think she is a great choice for ward 3, that she will truly represent the voices of the constituents and I would vote for her.

The Township of Ramara and in particular Ward 3 constituents, could not have a better advocate and supporter than Dana Tuju as their councillor.
She is a tireless proponent of environmental causes that benefit the well being and natural beauty and harmony of the township. She is committed to making the township a safe, welcoming and prosperous community for all of the residents.
It has been my pleasure getting to know Dana through various projects we have worked on and I highly recommend her to be your voice for Ward 3.
